Who I am

Like many, I studied literature as an undergraduate and then immediately went to law school. Unlike others, I jumped abroad to do it, and kept a sense of adventure throughout my career. As I developed my legal skills, I kept writing — sometimes short pieces for online publications like Quartz or them.us, sometimes long form essays on a defunct blog, and sometimes academic articles on issues like the derogation of human rights.

And yet, I didn’t feel entirely comfortable with a writing format until I enrolled in screenwriting courses through UCLA. I took to it immediately; as a life-long lover of movies, I understood the fundamentals of a script immediately, and discovered a flair for writing dialogue that instructors and experienced screenwriters took note of from the beginning.

Now, I am currently working on my fourth screenplay and work with writers around the world as we all hone our craft.
